Description

Provide comprehensive care for women’s health across prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods, including deliveries and surgical interventions as needed. Diagnose medical conditions using patient records and test results, manage treatment plans, and monitor patient progress. Coordinate care with other clinicians and lead clinical staff to support safe delivery and strong patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Treat diseases of female organs

• Provide prenatal, delivery, and postnatal care

• Analyze patient records and test results to diagnose medical conditions

• Perform cesarean sections and other surgical procedures as needed

• Collect, record, and maintain patient medical histories and examination results

• Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients

• Prescribe or administer therapy, medication, and specialized medical care

• Monitor patient conditions and progress; reevaluate treatments as necessary

• Consult with and provide consulting services to other physicians

• Direct and coordinate activities of nurses, students, assistants, and other medical staff

• MD/DO in OBGYN
