Technical Project Leader (R&D)

Description

Technical project management for the development of products, including technical management of the engineering, simulation, and testing team. Coordinate technical requirements and the development status with the customer, ensuring adherence to the project schedule and development budget. Support a consistent design-to-cost approach and participate in supplier technical meetings and continuous improvement of development methods and project processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical projects for product development
• Provide technical leadership for the development team (engineering, simulation, testing)
• Coordinate technical requirements and development status with the customer
• Ensure project schedule adherence
• Ensure development budget adherence
• Participate in meeting planned product cost targets
• Drive a consistent design-to-cost approach with sales, production, purchasing, and other specialist departments
• Conduct technical supplier meetings
• Support further development of the department’s products
• Contribute to optimization of development methods and project processes

Requirements

• Completed engineering degree in mechanical engineering, vehicle technology, applied physics, or similar
• Good technical and physical knowledge of hydraulic systems
• Team-oriented and goal-oriented working style
• Fluent English; German is an advantage
• Excellent communication skills and confident demeanor (including internationally)
• At least 3 years of professional experience in the automotive industry
