Description

Own the reliability, availability, stability, and performance of production iOS and Android apps. Investigate production incidents (including crash and ANR triage), perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive improvements. Enhance observability and reliability using Firebase and monitoring tools, manage mobile releases, and build automated CI/CD workflows while supporting Azure and GCP environments.

Responsibilities

• Own mobile application reliability for production iOS and Android
• Handle production support and incident management (crash/ANR triage, RCA, prevention)
• Implement and maintain monitoring/observability (Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Performance Monitoring, Splunk, Grafana)
• Define and improve SLI/SLO and error budgets
• Perform performance engineering (crash-free sessions, startup time, API errors, latency)
• Manage app releases via App Store Connect and Google Play Console
• Apply platform governance (Apple/Google guidelines, API level deadlines, compatibility)
• Support multiple versions and backward compatibility
• Mitigate production issues without rebuilding apps (e.g., Firebase Remote Config)
• Analyze operational analytics across app versions and use customer reviews as signals
• Design and maintain automated CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions)
• Support environments on Azure and GCP; collaborate on Kubernetes services operations
• Follow ITIL processes and incident management best practices
• Collaborate on architecture, troubleshooting, and continuous automation/performance improvements

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in SRE, DevOps, or production operations
• Experience in eCommerce applications
• Hands-on support for iOS and Android applications
• Expertise in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Firebase tools (Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring)
• Knowledge of mobile application crash analysis and stability metrics
• Experience with API-based architectures and microservices
• Familiarity with Splunk and Grafana
• Experience with Azure and GCP
• Knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, Ruby, Java, C#, Go)
• Understanding of ITIL processes and ITSM tools (ServiceNow)

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with headless eCommerce architectures
• Knowledge of ReactJS and Node.js
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience with Kubernetes services (AKS, GKE)
• Background in desktop application support
• Knowledge of mobile application signing and release requirements
• Experience implementing production safeguards
