Description

Lead enterprise clients through complex transitions from ServiceNow to Atlassian Jira Service Management (JSM). Own migration planning, data mapping and secure ETL, JSM configuration, integrations, and end-to-end testing to ensure functional parity and no data loss.

Responsibilities

• Migration Strategy & Planning: Assess ServiceNow workflows, catalog items, SLAs, knowledge bases, and custom tables; design migration roadmaps to JSM.

• Data Migration & Mapping: Architect ETL for secure migration of historical tickets, assets, users, and attachments.

• Configuration & Customization: Configure JSM projects, request types, automation rules, SLAs, and queues to match or improve current ServiceNow functionality.

• Integration Management: Re-establish or integrate third-party tools, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring with the new JSM environment.

• Testing & Quality Assurance: Perform end-to-end testing, UAT, and data validation for zero data loss.

• Stakeholder Enablement: Provide technical guidance, training, and best-practice advisory to client IT teams and end-users.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience administering and configuring Jira Service Management (JSM) and ServiceNow.

• Led at least 1–2 end-to-end ServiceNow → JSM migrations.

• Strong ITSM process knowledge: Incident, Problem, Change, Request Management.

• Atlassian Cloud / Data Center administration experience, automation rules, and Jira REST APIs.

• ServiceNow experience with tables, Business Rules, Script Includes, and data export/import (JSON/XML/CSV).

• Scripting proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Groovy for data manipulation and automation.

• Excellent client-facing communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management.
