Description

You will lead complex enterprise migrations from ServiceNow to Jira Service Management, designing roadmaps and ETL flows to migrate historical data and assets securely and accurately. You will configure JSM to match or improve existing request types, automation, SLAs, and queues, then manage integrations and end-to-end testing to ensure functional parity. You will also partner with client IT teams to enable adoption through technical guidance and training.

Responsibilities

• Assess ServiceNow workflows, catalog items, SLAs, knowledge bases, and custom tables; create migration plans to JSM

• Architect ETL for historical tickets, assets, users, and attachments from ServiceNow to JSM

• Configure JSM projects, request types, automation rules, SLAs, and queues for parity/improvement

• Re-establish and integrate third-party tools, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring in the new JSM environment

• Run end-to-end testing, UAT, and data validation to ensure zero data loss

• Provide technical guidance, training, and best-practice advisory for Atlassian ITSM adoption

Requirements

• 3+ years hands-on administering and configuring Jira Service Management (JSM) and ServiceNow

• Successful experience leading at least 1–2 end-to-end migrations from ServiceNow to JSM

• Deep knowledge of ITSM processes: Incident, Problem, Change, Request Management

• Proficiency with Atlassian Cloud/Data Center administration, automation rules, and Jira REST APIs

• Experience with ServiceNow tables, Business Rules, Script Includes, and data export/import (JSON/XML/CSV)

• Scripting proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Groovy for data manipulation and automation

• Excellent client-facing communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
