Description

You will build and optimize data pipelines that supply production machine learning models making real-time decisions. The focus is on ensuring data quality and completeness, maintaining high performance under heavy load, and improving reliability in production. You will collaborate directly with data scientists and automate testing and deployments for pipeline changes.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize data pipelines feeding production ML models

• Ensure data quality and completeness; detect errors and anomalies before they impact models

• Design data storage and processing to handle high load

• Create metrics, dashboards, and alerts to monitor data quality and pipeline health

• Analyze processing and query performance; find and remove bottlenecks

• Work with data scientists to help them use prepared data effectively

• Automate testing and deployment of data pipeline changes

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related area

• Very good knowledge of Python and SQL

• Experience with large data volumes in production

• Experience with Spark, Polars, or similar tools

• Knowledge of analytical columnar databases and ability to optimize them

• Collaboration experience with data scientists/ML teams and understanding of downstream ML data usage

• Ability to independently diagnose problems and implement solutions
