Description

You will design, build, and develop ETL/ELT and data processing pipelines for both batch and streaming workloads. The role focuses on building ingestion processes for BigQuery, data warehouses, and Data Lake on GCP, integrating sources from on-premise and cloud systems, and optimizing SQL, performance, and processing costs. You will also translate business requirements into technical concepts, data models, and ready-to-use solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop ETL/ELT and batch/stream data processing pipelines

• Create ingestion processes for BigQuery, data warehouses, and Data Lake

• Integrate data from on-premise systems, GCP, databases, files, and API interfaces

• Design logical and physical data models

• Create data layers, topic datamarts, and datasets used in analytics and campaign processes

• Develop and optimize SQL queries in relational and columnar databases

• Implement data processing and loading routines in Python and/or Rust

• Build event-driven flows using Kafka or Pub/Sub

• Optimize performance and data processing costs in the GCP environment

• Implement monitoring, logging, error handling, and retry mechanisms

• Prepare tests and support deployments for changes in data ingestion processes

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position

• Experience designing and building ETL/ELT processes and data processing pipelines

• Strong SQL knowledge, including query optimization and working with large data volumes

• Hands-on BigQuery experience: data structures, partitioning, clustering, and query performance/cost optimization

• Practical programming experience in Python and/or Rust

• Knowledge of batch and streaming data processing

• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and technologies such as Kafka or Pub/Sub

• Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Oracle or PostgreSQL)

• Knowledge of the Linux system
