Description

The Director of Treasury Functional Engineering leads a unified engineering pillar for core Treasury capabilities, bringing together teams focused on liquidity and payments. You will own the strategy, execution, and organizational health across cash positioning, liquidity forecasting, treasury processes, payment initiation/controls, and bank connectivity. Drive modernization toward scalable, API-first, event-driven services while embedding AI to improve engineering practices and SDLC efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi-year engineering vision across cash, liquidity, and payments
• Lead architectural evolution toward modular, event-driven, API-first services while maintaining business continuity
• Balance feature delivery, technical debt reduction, system performance, and platformization goals
• Structure cross-functional autonomous squads with clear ownership, product focus, and success metrics
• Establish engineering practices for predictable delivery, release automation, and production reliability
• Promote adoption of shared platform services
• Ensure teams effectively use available AI tooling and evolve SDLC to support AI impact
• Embed AI-driven capabilities into forecasting, anomaly detection, payment monitoring, and decision support
• Lead organizational change management toward an AI-first mindset
• Develop engineering managers, architects, and principal engineers
• Build, mentor, and retain engineering talent across Warsaw and remote locations
• Partner with Product, Architecture, Platform Engineering, Security, and Customer Success/Operations

Requirements

• Proven track record leading multi-squad engineering organizations in SaaS, fintech, payments, treasury, or ERP
• Deep knowledge of cash management, liquidity forecasting, payments, banking integrations, or financial risk controls
• Hands-on expertise in distributed systems, modern API architectures, event-driven designs, and legacy cloud migrations
• Strong strategic planning; ability to manage trade-offs
• Fluent English communication for executive stakeholders
