Description

Work on SAP-based purchasing and procurement solutions end-to-end—from translating business requirements into IT concepts and solution designs to implementing, customizing, and supporting SAP MM processes. You will also enhance supplier and master data management capabilities through SAP Ariba and MDM/MDG, including integration and interface support. The role includes test planning, migrations, rollouts, documentation, training, and structured incident/problem handling.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and assess business requirements and translate them into IT concepts and solution designs for purchasing/procurement processes
• Implement and further develop SAP MM solutions in SAP R/3 ECC and SAP S/4HANA, including independent Customizing
• Own and develop core purchasing/procurement processes (orders, contracts, purchasing info records, sources of supply/order books, vendor master data, intercompany processes)
• Support and improve SAP Ariba and MDM/MDG, including related integrations and interfaces to SAP and third-party systems
• Plan and execute tests, migrations, and rollouts; create documentation and deliver trainings
• Contribute to application support with structured error analysis and sustainable defect resolution

Requirements

• Degree in (business) informatics, business administration, or comparable qualification
• Multi-year experience in IT with a focus on SAP solutions for purchasing and procurement
• Excellent SAP MM knowledge; experience with purchasing processes in SAP R/3 ECC and SAP S/4HANA
• Solid supplier and sourcing management knowledge (purchasing info records, order books, vendor master data, intercompany processes)
• Good knowledge of SAP Ariba and Master Data Management (MDM/MDG) plus understanding of integrations/interfaces
• Excellent SAP Customizing skills; proven experience independently designing and implementing complex solutions
• Ideally ABAP debugging knowledge and experience with BAdIs, user exits, and enhancements
• Strong MS Office skills
• Analytical and conceptual mindset; high problem-solving ability; ability to quickly understand complex SAP/IT contexts
• Teamwork, initiative, high performance drive, and strong communication/leadership in workshops
• Excellent German and English in speaking and writing
• Low willingness to travel
