Description

Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend architecture using Python. Build efficient microservices and distributed cloud solutions, including MQTT-based communication between devices and backend systems, and integrate external systems. Ensure code quality through testing and reviews while mentoring teammates and shaping architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate long-term with an IT startup delivering Wearable Technology, IoT, and RetailTech solutions

• Design, develop, and optimize backend architecture for scalable systems

• Create efficient Python microservices and backend applications

• Develop distributed systems and solutions operating in cloud environments

• Optimize network communication, diagnose connectivity problems, and analyze TCP latency and connection stability

• Design and develop device-to-backend communication using MQTT

• Integrate external systems and develop customer-oriented solutions

• Ensure code quality by applying best practices, testing, and performing code reviews

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams on technology and architectural decisions

• Provide mentoring and technical support to less experienced team members

Requirements

• 4–5 years of commercial backend development experience

• Practical experience designing distributed systems or cloud solutions

• Very good Python knowledge and experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask

• Very good knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, especially MySQL and Redis

• Advanced MQTT knowledge, including QoS, message retention, and broker configuration

• Solid understanding of computer networking: TCP/IP, routing, load balancing

• Knowledge of Docker and Git

• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure

• Higher technical education (preferably Computer Science or related)

• English proficiency at least B2

• Willingness to work in a hybrid model with 3 days/week in the Wrocław office
