Description

Responsible for ongoing maintenance, development, and lifecycle management of data center infrastructure across multiple locations. You will perform rack & stack activities such as installing and commissioning servers and storage, coordinate deployments and equipment relocations, troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues, and keep infrastructure documentation up to date using DCIM and ITSM tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage data center infrastructure deployments, maintenance, and lifecycle across multiple locations

• Install, assemble, and commission servers, storage systems, and other rack & stack hardware

• Support infrastructure expansion and prepare production environments for new equipment

• Coordinate decommissioning and disposal of older server and storage infrastructure

• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues (power, batteries, controllers, cabling, and infrastructure connections)

• Coordinate equipment relocations between sites, including logistics and vendor/service-provider cooperation

• Maintain hardware inventory, asset lifecycle data, rack cabinet documentation, and device placement using DCIM tools (SunBird, Device42)

• Process incidents, tickets, and change requests using ITSM tools (ServiceNow; Jira preferred)

• Monitor services and delivery against SLA/MAAs

• Coordinate infrastructure requirements planning (space, power, cooling, structured cabling, underfloor cabling, fiber and dark fiber connections)

• Prepare equipment information (serial numbers, asset labels) for purchasing, billing, and PO order handling

• Perform physical cabling work, verify uplink connections, and prepare power infrastructure for new environments

• Ensure compliance with data center operational standards, safety rules, and best practices

• Support recurring infrastructure inspections, preventive actions, and incident response

• Produce regular reports on infrastructure status, progress, and operational activities

• Participate in operational reviews and report status to stakeholders and management
