Description

You will join a strategic digital transformation program to create a new modern platform that supports the insurance claim liquidation process. The role centers on designing the system from scratch, implementing a microservices event-driven architecture, and actively developing the solution. As Tech Lead/Architect in a Scrum team, you will set technical direction, ensure API governance and quality, and support operational and security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design a new system end-to-end for insurance claim settlements and document the architecture

• Actively develop using agentic coding in a distributed microservices architecture

• Lead the technical direction as Tech Lead/Architect within a Scrum team

• Contribute to feasibility analyses, delivery assumptions, and effort estimation for dev and architecture tasks

• Define technology standards and ensure code quality, operational readiness, and security

• Manage developer tasks, run code reviews, maintain technical documentation, and mentor the team

• Facilitate architecture workshops, co-create technology roadmaps, and assess technical risks

• Design and oversee system integrations, API governance, and performance/scalability

• Partner with Product Owner and business stakeholders to refine requirements

• Use cloud and AI/Agentic SDLC tools during development

Requirements

• 5+ years experience designing and supervising system architecture

• Strong hands-on Java development and active programming

• Very strong knowledge of Java and the Spring framework

• Practical experience building and evolving microservices architecture and distributed systems that are scalable, secure, and resilient

• Excellent knowledge of architectural/integration patterns and API governance principles

• Experience designing system integrations using Event-Driven Architecture

• Experience applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

• Experience with relational databases and query optimization

• Hands-on experience designing and implementing end-to-end observability

• Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes, infrastructure automation, and cloud

• Experience leading technical work: task assignment, team leadership, code reviews, mentoring, architecture workshops, and roadmap/risk input

• English proficiency at least B2
