Description

You will support critical services using Cohesity Backup, file storage and S3 solutions, and Mobius within a 24/7 production environment. You’ll act as a technical reference and domain owner for backup and data protection, shaping solutions, driving automation, and improving reliability and efficiency. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and other technology teams, including disaster recovery management for the virtual infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical authority and domain owner for backup and data protection services
• Install, configure, and maintain backup/data protection technologies; keep software and hardware up to date
• Develop solutions from business and technical requirement analysis
• Design and architecture for projects
• Implement and use monitoring tools; perform audits and capacity planning
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and collaborate with development/IT teams
• Apply security best practices (patch management, antivirus, vulnerability assessments)
• Automate recurrent activities; propose harmonization of automation
• Participate in day-to-day service support (incidents, alerts, changes)
• Provide on-call support during out-of-business hours (24/7 watch duty)
• Support disaster recovery management (RDR, SWAP, LDR)
• Provide consulting to OS teams (Windows, Linux, Office, Tandem, Mainframe) and projects/customers
• Support the private cloud strategy
• Mentor engineers and act as escalation point for complex issues
• Coordinate with Product Owner, Solution Architects, and other teams/tribes

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in service engineering or service operations
• Excellent knowledge of backup platforms, including at least 2 years with Cohesity in larger IT environments
• Strong understanding of regular backup and restore testing aligned with DORA requirements
• Solid hands-on knowledge of backup and restore processes, including audit and compliance
• Good knowledge of storage platforms (S3 and file solutions); at least 2 years in larger IT environments
• Knowledge of Nutanix and/or VMware virtualization environments
• Knowledge of hyperconverged and/or converged infrastructures
• Passion for automation and DevOps
• Knowledge/experience in Ansible, Tower, PowerShell, and/or Terraform
• Agile working experience
• Fluent in English; French or Dutch is a plus
