Description

Own the administration, operation, and development of server, network, and virtualization infrastructure. Diagnose complex technical problems, implement changes to improve stability, availability, and security, and manage and optimize Windows and Linux environments. Work with virtualization, backup, monitoring, and automation, and support infrastructure projects and internal process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Administer, operate, and develop server, network, and virtualization infrastructure
• Diagnose complex technical issues and identify root causes
• Design and implement changes to increase system stability, availability, and security
• Manage and optimize Windows and Linux environments
• Work with virtualization, backup, monitoring, and automation
• Collaborate on infrastructure projects and roll out new technologies
• Improve internal processes, documentation, and standardization of the IT environment
• Collaborate with teammates and coordinate technical tasks; potential future ownership of larger projects or leading a small team

Requirements

• Practical experience managing IT infrastructure; able to solve technical issues independently
• Understanding of server and network systems; comfortable with complex architectures
• Analytical mindset to connect causes and effects, analyze problems, and find working solutions
• Proactive attitude—identify problems and improvement opportunities and help implement them
• Ability to set priorities, take responsibility, and complete tasks
• Strong communication skills for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and coordination
• Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and continuously develop expertise

Qualifications (Nice to have)

• Professional certifications or experience in infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity (e.g., Microsoft, Red Hat, Cisco)
• RHCSA
• CISSP, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC
• Cybersecurity architecture certifications
• Practical experience with security monitoring, risk management, and automation
