Senior Software Engineer (Infrastructure)

Description

Join the Infrastructure team to build and optimize a cloud-native, real-time distributed backend system. You’ll take ownership of critical components, deliver technically complex initiatives end to end, and reduce production incidents through reliability work. You will also oversee the technical architecture for the SOC 2 compliance process.

Responsibilities

• Own critical real-time, distributed backend components written in Python/Rust
• Drive large-scale initiatives from concept to production, even with evolving requirements
• Identify and resolve stability bottlenecks and complex production issues to reduce incident rate
• Guide SOC 2 compliance technical architecture and support the team’s daily execution
• Improve development velocity while maintaining strict reliability standards

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with heavy focus on advanced Python development
• Deep, practical knowledge of Python Asyncio and Python profiling
• Leadership experience leading teams and operating independently in ambiguous environments
• Exceptional software design and architecture skills
• Hands-on cloud infrastructure management experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and operating systems
• Proven experience delivering, scaling, and troubleshooting production-grade distributed cloud systems
• Proficiency with modern observability stacks and gRPC troubleshooting
• Strong LLM prompting capabilities, with strong fundamentals to build without reliance on LLMs
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for crisp technical documentation
• BSc in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent experience
