Description

You will develop, implement, and maintain statistical and machine learning models that support actuarial functions. The work includes analyzing large datasets, performing exploratory data analysis and feature engineering, and improving model quality and interpretability. You will also support automation and optimization of actuarial processes using modern data science tools and frameworks, collaborating with actuaries, underwriters, and claims teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain statistical and machine learning models supporting actuarial functions

  • Analyze large and complex datasets to generate actionable insights

  • Perform exploratory data analysis and feature engineering to improve model quality and interpretability

  • Automate and optimize actuarial processes using modern data science tools and frameworks

  • Collaborate with actuaries, underwriters, and claims teams to translate business challenges into analytical solutions

  • Present results and recommendations clearly for technical audiences

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and modeling

  • Good knowledge of machine learning methodology, predictive analytics, and statistical inference

  • Experience with data processing tools (pandas, SQL)

  • Experience with data visualization tools (matplotlib, seaborn, ggplot2)

  • Experience with Azure or MS Fabric

  • Ability to work with code repositories

  • Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
