Description

You will design and develop high-scale distributed and microservices architectures for a cloud-native investment platform, helping build and evolve critical systems. The role also involves setting long-term technical strategy and architectural roadmaps while ensuring strong standards in security, observability, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build distributed and microservices systems for high availability and reliability
• Define and evolve long-term technical strategy and architectural roadmap
• Design cross-system solutions in a cloud-native environment
• Contribute to the build and development of critical systems
• Maintain high standards for security, observability, and reliability
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Security, and DevOps to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Mentor Senior Engineers and raise technical standards in the organization
• Participate in zero-to-one initiatives and critical refactoring
• Promote modern engineering practices such as DevOps, AI automation, and security by design

Requirements

• At least 8+ years of experience designing and building highly available distributed systems
• Strong knowledge of Java and/or Kotlin and Spring Boot
• Experience with microservices architecture and cloud-native systems
• AWS experience (ECS, Fargate, Lambda or similar cloud services)
• System design expertise and ability to make architecture trade-offs (REST vs gRPC vs GraphQL, sync vs async, SQL vs NoSQL)
• Experience in production environments at high scale with reliability requirements
• DevOps experience with a “you build it, you run it” approach, plus CI/CD and Docker
• Security knowledge (JWT, OAuth2) and Shift Left Security approach
• Experience in regulated environments (fintech/banking is a strong advantage)
• Ability to communicate complex technical topics to both technical and business stakeholders (English B2+)
• Experience mentoring and operating at Staff/Principal/Senior level with high impact
• Nice to have: AI/ML tooling for development (code generation, test automation, CI/CD automation)
