Description

You will design the technical architecture and governance model for AI agents, covering how agents are created, classified, governed, controlled, inventoried, and retired. The work includes defining agent identity and permissions, lifecycle stages and governance gates, and controls that support evidence and auditability. You will collaborate closely with governance and security stakeholders to co-design decision-making frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design architecture and governance model for AI agents across governed workstreams
• Define how AI agents are created, classified, governed, and retired
• Design agent classification/tiering model
• Define agent lifecycle and governance gates
• Design agent register and inventory model
• Define agent identity and permission management concepts
• Design architecture of the Agent 365 platform supporting AI agent governance
• Develop control models for non-human identities and autonomous AI agents
• Assess risks for agent delegation, tool access/reach, blast radius, and multi-agent interactions
• Design controls for agents that act on behalf of users or interact with external tools
• Ensure permissions and controls can be evidenced and audited
• Integrate agent controls with security architecture (with Security Architect)
• Work with Entra, Purview, and Defender to design agent controls
• Support consumption attribution and visibility models
• Collaborate with governance and AI stakeholders to co-design solutions and frameworks

Requirements

• Strong experience as an Architect working with Microsoft and AI technologies
• Hands-on experience with Agent 365 platform architecture
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Defender
• Experience designing governance and control models for AI agents or non-human identities
• Strong understanding of identity, permissions, access control, and lifecycle management
• Experience designing classification or tiering models
• Ability to assess risks in emerging technology environments (delegation, tool reach, blast radius, multi-agent interactions)
• Understanding of AI agent architecture, governance, and lifecycle management
• Experience collaborating with Security Architects and governance stakeholders
• Ability to design solutions based on principles and requirements, not only product documentation
• Knowledge of consumption attribution and visibility
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an international environment
