Description

Lead the architectural vision for a large-scale Dynamics 365 transformation during the Discovery & Design phase. You will assess existing business processes and integration points, define a scalable target-state architecture, and guide PoCs to validate feasibility and critical functionality. You will deliver solution outlines, conceptual architecture diagrams, data flow documentation, and PoC results.

Responsibilities

• Run architectural workshops with customer SMEs to understand existing systems, processes, constraints, data flows, and integrations
• Define target solution architecture for Project Operations and Field Service, including conceptual data models, module boundaries, and cross-platform interactions
• Assess out-of-the-box Dynamics 365 capabilities and identify standardization opportunities via configuration
• Guide Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to validate functionality, technical feasibility, and architectural assumptions
• Create high-level integration designs and architecture diagrams connecting Dynamics 365 to legacy and enterprise systems
• Work with functional consultants to ensure process designs are technically feasible and align with Dynamics 365 capabilities
• Contribute to the Discovery backlog by defining epics, features, dependencies, and technical considerations for implementation
• Identify architectural risks, technical dependencies, and prerequisites for transition into implementation
• Produce Discovery deliverables: solution outlines, conceptual architecture diagrams, data flow documentation, PoC results, and readiness assessments

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Solution Architecture, especially Project Operations and/or Field Service
• Proven experience producing conceptual solution architectures during Discovery, assessment, or pre-implementation phases
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse: entity modeling and cross-module relationships
• Power Platform familiarity: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages
• Understanding of enterprise integration patterns, APIs, and Azure Integration Services
• Ability to create high-level architecture diagrams, model business processes, and document technical solutions
• Experience facilitating technical and functional workshops with SMEs and senior stakeholders
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for non-technical audiences
