Description

Lead the architectural vision for a Microsoft Dynamics 365 transformation initiative in a 3-month Discovery & Design phase. Own and refine the scalable target-state architecture for Project Operations and Field Service, evaluate OOTB capabilities, and guide Proofs of Concept. Produce architecture and discovery deliverables, including integration designs and documentation, aligned to business objectives and platform capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural workshops with customer SMEs to understand existing systems, processes, constraints, data flows, and integration points
• Define target solution architecture for Dynamics 365 Project Operations and Field Service (conceptual data models, module boundaries, cross-platform interactions)
• Evaluate standard Dynamics 365 (OOTB) capabilities and identify opportunities for process standardization and configuration
• Guide PoCs to validate critical functionality, feasibility, and architectural assumptions
• Create high-level integration designs and architecture diagrams connecting Dynamics 365 with legacy/enterprise systems
• Work with functional consultants to ensure designs are technically feasible and aligned with Dynamics 365 capabilities
• Contribute to the Discovery backlog (epics, features, dependencies, technical considerations)
• Identify architectural risks, technical dependencies, and prerequisites for successful transition to implementation
• Deliver Discovery outputs such as solution outlines, conceptual architecture diagrams, data flow documentation, PoC results, and readiness assessments

Requirements

• Strong Dynamics 365 Solution Architecture expertise, particularly Project Operations and/or Field Service
• Experience designing conceptual solution architectures in Discovery/assessment/pre-implementation phases
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse, including data structures, entity modeling, and cross-module relationships
• Familiarity with Power Platform components: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages
• Understanding of enterprise integration patterns, APIs, and Azure Integration Services
• Ability to create high-level architecture diagrams and document technical solutions
• Experience facilitating technical and functional workshops with SMEs and senior stakeholders
• Strong communication and presentation skills for explaining complex concepts to non-technical audiences
