• Role: Senior Java Developer (HealthTech)

Description

Design and develop backend services for HealthTech systems, mainly in Java, with additional work in Python and TypeScript when needed. Build real-time data pipelines with Apache Flink, integrate data from medical sensors, and develop LLM-based features. Own API design, integrations, clean testable code (unit and integration tests), and ensure performance, scalability, and observability for production services.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement functionality and services (Java primarily; also Python/TypeScript as needed)

• Build and develop real-time data pipelines with Apache Flink

• Integrate data from next-generation medical sensors and develop LLM-based functions

• Design APIs and integrate with internal systems and external partner APIs

• Write clean, testable code supported by unit and integration tests

• Use AI tools throughout the workflow (analysis, design, refactoring, tests, code review) with critical verification

• Share good AI-assisted development practices with the team

• Ensure performance, scalability, and observability; support services in production

• Perform code reviews and mentor less-experienced team members

• Create technical documentation required for medical devices

• Collaborate with the team in Agile methodology (SAFe)

Requirements

• 5–8 years of backend development, mainly in Java (17+)

• Very good knowledge of OOP, design patterns, and testing (JUnit, Mockito)

• Experience building APIs and event-driven systems on AWS

• Daily experience using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code): provide proper context, break down tasks, and verify generated code

• Knowledge of Python or readiness to quickly learn it

• Openness to learning TypeScript/Node.js

• Experience in Agile or SAFe

• Self-reliance, self-organization, and proactive team communication

• Fluent Polish and English
