Description

Join a cross-functional team to enable efficient scaling of a real estate platform. You’ll act as an independent Staff-level technical expert, designing new Go microservice domains from scratch and deciding what gets extracted next from the PHP monolith. You’ll also build an AI dev harness on top of the microservices foundation, focusing on context engineering, evals, and agent orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Provide autonomous technical leadership and influence how engineering teams work.
• Design and implement scalable microservice domains extracted from the PHP monolith.
• Develop and refine the AI development harness for context engineering, evals, and agent orchestration.
• Steer and review AI-generated code; validate, refactor, and ensure accountability for outcomes.
• Mentor engineers and drive cross-team alignment and strategy.

Requirements

• Use agentic workflows (Claude Code, Cursor Agent, or equivalent) as a default approach.
• Practice context engineering beyond prompt engineering: design full information architecture for agents (repo structure, CLAUDE.md/AGENTS.md, relevant code context, memory, and tool access).
• Understand model routing trade-offs and multi-agent orchestration.
• Strong ownership: treat AI output as a first draft; validate, refactor, and take full accountability.
• Strong coding and computer science fundamentals; spend ~⅔ hands-on while also mentoring and influencing.
• Strong experience with Golang, Java/Kotlin (preferred), and ability to work with PHP.
• Deep expertise in scalable distributed systems, CI/CD, RESTful and GraphQL APIs, AWS, and relational + NoSQL databases.
• Design well-bounded, future-proof domain systems aligned with business objectives.
• Clear English communication with engineering, product, and leadership audiences.
• Self-starter who identifies what needs doing and takes initiative.
• Technical leadership and mentoring capability.
