Description

You will build a Tech Modernisation Framework that uses AI to analyze legacy code repositories and rewrite them onto modern, platform-approved technology stacks. The work combines software engineering, platform automation, and applied AI to automate legacy migration via agent workflows and tooling. You’ll integrate the AI framework with CI/CD and deployment platforms and ensure the solution is vendor-agnostic, maintainable, and testable.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and improve agent workflows, prompts, and tooling that automate legacy code migration

• Connect the AI framework to CI/CD and deployment platforms (Tekton, ArgoCD, Ansible)

• Work hands-on with agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Maister) and multiple LLM providers

• Collaborate with application teams to turn real migration cases into repeatable automation

• Maintain a vendor-agnostic approach while applying clean-code and testing practices

Requirements

• Senior-level programming skills in Python

• Solid software engineering fundamentals: Git, code reviews, testing, and writing clean, maintainable code

• Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes basics)

• Hands-on experience with (or strong technical interest in) LLMs and AI-assisted development (prompting, agents, tool use)

• Ability to read and understand code in several languages, including legacy code (e.g., Java)

• Analytical, structured problem-solving; comfortable with ambiguity and experimentation

• Fluent English and a collaborative attitude
