Description

This long-term Python Developer role focuses on enhancing a Tech Modernisation Framework by leveraging AI to transition legacy code to current technology stacks. You will design agent workflows for code migration, improve migration tooling and processes, and automate real migration cases in collaboration with application teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on designing agent workflows for code migration
• Improve tooling and processes that enable migrations from legacy systems
• Integrate migration tools with CI/CD and deployment platforms (e.g., Tekton, ArgoCD, Ansible)
• Work with application teams to build reliable automation for real migration scenarios
• Perform hands-on programming, including using AI coding tools

Requirements

• Strong Python programming skills
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, including Git, code review, and testing
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience or strong interest in LLMs and AI-assisted coding
• Ability to read and understand various programming languages, including legacy ones (e.g., Java)
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills; comfortable working amidst uncertainty
• Effective English communication skills and a collaborative work attitude
