Description

Design, deploy, and optimize secure, scalable enterprise network infrastructure across LAN/WAN environments. Manage Palo Alto firewall initiatives (policy, threat prevention, VPN) and support Aruba wireless and switching platforms (ClearPass, AirWave). Monitor performance, resolve complex issues with diagnostic tools, enforce security/compliance standards, document solutions, and provide mentoring and on-call/incident response support.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable LAN/WAN network solutions

• Manage Palo Alto Networks firewall projects: policy development, threat prevention, VPN configuration

• Manage and optimize Aruba wireless and switching infrastructure, including ClearPass and AirWave

• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex problems using advanced diagnostic tools

• Implement and enforce network security and compliance standards

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects and business applications

• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership

• Maintain detailed network configuration documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures

• Participate in on-call rotations and support incident response activities

• Build and support high-throughput network solutions using dark-fiber infrastructure

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering

• Working knowledge of Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Aruba network solutions

• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, and subnetting

• Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG)

• Ability to build and implement secure network architectures

• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills

• Preferred certifications: PCNSE, CCNP, or equivalent

• Network automation and scripting experience (Python, Ansible) is an advantage

• Cloud networking knowledge (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments are desired
