Description

Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of secure, scalable enterprise network infrastructure across LAN/WAN environments. Manage Palo Alto Networks firewalls (policies, threat prevention, VPN) and Aruba wireless and switching infrastructure (ClearPass, AirWave). Monitor, troubleshoot, and enforce network security/compliance standards, provide documentation and technical leadership, and participate in on-call incident response while supporting high-capacity dark fiber solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and maintain secure and scalable network solutions for LAN/WAN
• Manage Palo Alto Networks firewall initiatives: policy development, threat prevention, VPN configuration
• Optimize Aruba wireless and switching infrastructure, including ClearPass and AirWave
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues
• Implement and enforce network security guidelines and compliance standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects and business applications
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership
• Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, diagrams, and operational procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response efforts
• Build and support dark fiber solutions for high-capacity network infrastructure

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering
• Experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Aruba networking solutions
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), VLANs, and subnetting
• Experience using network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG)
• Proven ability to build and implement secure network architectures
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills
• Certifications such as PCNSE, CCNP, or equivalent preferred
• Network automation and scripting experience (Python, Ansible) is an advantage
• Cloud networking familiarity (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments desirable
