Description

Own and operate Linux server and services while unifying the on-premises Kubernetes landscape with AWS Kubernetes. Support partial migration of AWS workloads to on-premises and continuously optimize database server and logging environments. Build and evolve an on-premises target architecture using Proxmox or Incus and introduce Ceph.

Responsibilities

• Operate and administer on-premises Kubernetes clusters and unify on-prem and AWS Kubernetes landscapes

• Support partial migration of AWS workloads to on-premises

• Optimize database servers and logging environments

• Set up and evolve an on-premises Proxmox or Incus environment and introduce Ceph

• Build and advance a sustainable target architecture and implement technical solutions

• Operate, administer, and maintain the responsible infrastructure; advise and support developer teams in projects

• Conduct evaluations and Proofs of Concept; integrate new systems and technologies into the existing infrastructure

• Create and review concepts, decision proposals, and documentation

• Continuously improve infrastructure quality and drive technical development

• Plan technical tasks and communicate progress transparently

Requirements

• Experience in Linux server and services, networking, and familiarity with the relevant tech stack

• Safe German communication skills

• Class B driver’s license

• Interest in evaluating and introducing new technologies
