Social Media Lead

Senior • Hybrid • On-site • Remote

  • Focus: Social media strategy across organic and paid channels for a Bitcoin app
  • Channels: X, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube

Description

You will own and execute the social media strategy for a Bitcoin-focused app, shaping a voice that Bitcoin users trust. The role includes daily content creation and publishing, community engagement, planning and optimizing paid social campaigns, and reporting on results using tracked links and app attribution. You must be a genuine Bitcoin enthusiast with strong English writing and measurable campaign performance experience.

Responsibilities

  • Build and run social media strategy across organic, paid, and creator channels
  • Propose budget allocation (where to invest, test, and stop) based on audience and results
  • Write and publish daily posts, threads, short video scripts, and stories explaining Bitcoin and the app in plain language
  • Reply to comments and messages daily in a trusted Bitcoin tone; identify community questions and turn them into content
  • Show Auto Buy and Turbo Buy through real use cases (e.g., buying a fixed amount weekly)
  • Maintain a calm, factual voice during volatile market periods
  • Run global accounts on X, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube with a monthly content calendar (product news, education, events, partners)
  • Localize content with relevant local topics; plan local-language content with the local market team
  • Plan, launch, and optimize paid campaigns on Meta, X, and YouTube/Google (targeting, creatives, retargeting, pacing)
  • Manage crypto ad approvals on each platform with compliance
  • Boost best organic and creator posts with paid budget (e.g., whitelisting, Spark Ads)
  • Optimize toward first transactions, not only clicks or reach
  • Grow engaged followers and drive qualified traffic using tracked links, promo codes, and country-specific landing pages
  • Run small tests on formats, hooks, and posting times and log outcomes
  • Send monthly reports covering reach, engagement, followers, app clicks, paid spend, CPA, and first transactions by source
  • Set up and maintain tracking with UTMs, pixels, conversion APIs, and app attribution (MMP)
  • Support product and CRM with social content that helps users move to recurring buying with Auto Buy
  • Keep all posts within MiCA marketing rules and tone guidelines; avoid promises of returns/profit
  • Check posts that name prices, returns, or comparisons before publishing
  • Label paid and creator content as advertising and comply with local rules
  • Build and run a creator program with Bitcoin creators, event organizers, and media partners using personal tracking codes
  • Handle crisis moments (outages, scams using the name, negative threads) with an escalation path

Requirements

  • Genuine Bitcoin enthusiast with verifiable Bitcoin content (written/made) or an active personal Bitcoin account, or involvement in meetups/conferences/communities
  • Ability to explain Bitcoin in plain language, including self-custody and what a halving is
  • Bitcoin-only focus (no promotion of other coins, tokens, or NFTs)
  • 4+ years running social media for a brand, media outlet, or a Bitcoin project
  • At least 2 years owning a social strategy (accounts/posts must be available for review)
  • English writing samples: clear, short, and free of hype
  • Hands-on paid social campaign experience with a monthly budget and demonstrable results (CPA, conversions, ROAS)
  • Tracking and attribution experience: UTMs, pixels, app attribution tools (MMP) and conversion APIs
  • Analytics usage on at least two platforms and reporting results to a team
  • Community moderation experience during volatile markets or public issues

Benefits

  • Help build a Bitcoin neobank for Europe and make Bitcoin more accessible to everyday users
  • Room to test, learn, and move quickly without layers of corporate approval
  • Meaningful ownership and influence in a small, fast-moving, agile team
  • Mission-driven culture focused on innovation and impact
  • Direct cooperation with founders
  • Flexible working environment with room for focused work and deep collaboration
  • Opportunities to travel across the EU for events, partnerships, and market activities
