Seattle, WA

Quick Facts

Senior Engineering Manager role focused on post-silicon validation and fleet engineering for AWS server-class hardware.

Description

Lead engineering teams spanning PCIe validation and signal integrity, CPU and memory quality, server performance, and test automation infrastructure. Own end-to-end technical output and the ongoing operational health of these subsystems from first silicon through fleet deployment, including root-cause diagnosis and corrective actions for issues found in the lab or in production. Provide technical leadership and connect validation learnings to fleet operations with repeatable automation and monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end engineering output and operational health across PCIe validation, signal integrity, CPU/memory engineering, server performance, and test automation from bring-up through ongoing operations
  • Lead first-line managers and set technical direction for validation methodology and fleet engineering
  • Build processes/tooling that close the loop between validation findings and production outcomes
  • Drive root-cause analysis and corrective action for issues across the lifecycle; lead systemic fixes to prevent recurrence for fleet-wide issues tied to silicon/interconnect/memory behavior
  • Partner with silicon suppliers, firmware, and hardware design teams on cross-functional resolution
  • Represent technical findings, fleet health, and risk assessments to senior leadership
  • Build and develop a team of managers and engineers with end-to-end fleet ownership mindset

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in post-silicon validation, silicon bring-up, platform validation, or fleet engineering for server-class hardware
  • 5+ years of engineering management experience with direct people management responsibility
  • 2+ years of experience managing managers
  • Direct technical experience with server-class processor debug and validation, including CPU, memory, and high-speed interconnect subsystems such as PCIe, across both pre-production validation and production fleet operations
  • Experience owning engineering outcomes across the full product lifecycle from silicon bring-up through ongoing fleet operations

Benefits

Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D, and Supplemental life options), EAP and mental health support, a medical advice line, Flexible Spending Accounts, adoption and surrogacy reimbursement coverage, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
