Principal Technical Product Manager (AWS Security)

Senior

220,000 - 220,000 USD/yr

Seattle, WA

Quick Facts

  • Role: Principal Technical Product Manager (AWS Security)

Description

Own the multi-year product strategy and long-term roadmap for an AI-native AWS security product suite. You will decide what capabilities are shared across the lifecycle—code evaluation, vulnerability remediation, and security operations triage—and where products remain distinct, then drive engineering and science teams to deliver. You’ll represent software builders, security engineers, and security operations teams, and define the suite strategy with substantial independence.

Responsibilities

  • Define a multi-year vision and long-term roadmap for the security product suite and drive teams to deliver it
  • Decide where products converge on shared capabilities vs. stay product-specific; make invent/extend/retire decisions for overlap
  • Serve as the voice of the customer for multiple technical segments using customer research and data
  • Write PR/FAQs, decision narratives, and investment proposals for senior leadership
  • Build measurement, intake, and reporting mechanisms to keep each product aligned with customers over time
  • Partner with technical program managers and engineering/science leaders on architecture and priorities
  • Take point on customer-impacting product issues and executive-level escalations
  • Mentor product managers and contribute to hiring and promotion assessments

Requirements

  • 10+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience leading cross-organizational programs and setting/holding teams to timelines and deliverables without explicit authority
  • Experience in technical product management
  • Experience leading engineering discussions on technology decisions and product strategy

Benefits

  • Sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs)
  • Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, vision, prescription, and life/AD&D; optional supplemental life plans; EAP and mental health support; Medical Advice Line; Flexible Spending Accounts; Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement
  • 401(k) matching
  • Paid time off and parental leave
  • Flexible work hours and work-life balance support
