Description

Act as a technical advisor helping Healthcare and Life Sciences customers design and implement AWS-based data lake, analytics, and semantic-layer solutions. You lead architecture discussions for data platform and analytics designs, including AI readiness, and translate business needs into scalable architectures using AWS best practices. You also contribute to reusable, well-documented reference architectures and technical content.

Responsibilities

• Provide trusted technical leadership to customer engineering and architecture teams

• Design and deliver data lake, analytics, and semantic layer architectures on AWS

• Dive deep into AWS data/analytics services and explain how they fit into customer data strategies

• Own solution design and delivery, ensuring architectures are sound and aligned with business goals

• Create and maintain reusable solution documentation, patterns, and reference architectures

• Contribute to technical content (whitepapers, blog posts, reference architectures, workshops)

• Identify gaps in AWS services based on customer engagements and help channel feedback

• Anticipate customer needs and provide proactive technical recommendations

• Participate actively in the Solutions Architect community through knowledge sharing and collaboration

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or solutions architecture

• 3+ years hands-on experience with data lake, data warehouse, or analytics platforms

• Experience designing and implementing solutions on AWS or comparable cloud platforms

• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT patterns, and analytics architectures

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS analytics services (S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Redshift, Athena, EMR, QuickSight)

• Exposure to AI/ML concepts, including data readiness for AI and generative AI patterns

• Experience with semantic layers, knowledge graphs, or ontology-driven data architectures

• Familiarity with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, OMOP, claims data models)

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Data Analytics, or Machine Learning specialty)

• Experience working with enterprise customers in regulated industries
