Description

You will analyze, assess, and track vulnerabilities and security alerts from multiple sources, then define and coordinate appropriate remediation measures. The role includes investigating phishing and endpoint protection warnings, building and operating a vulnerability database, and supporting IT asset hardening. You will also analyze compromised systems, assess restoration needs, and determine required recovery actions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, evaluate, and follow up vulnerability reports from various sources; derive suitable countermeasures
• Review and process security alerts (e.g., phishing, endpoint protection) and coordinate required actions
• Build and operate a vulnerability database together with vendors and service providers
• Contribute to development and implementation of hardening measures for IT assets
• Analyze and clean compromised systems, evaluate restoration needs, and define necessary measures

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as a Fachinformatiker or a degree in Computer Science
• Several years of professional experience
• Ability to assess and prioritize vulnerabilities using established security standards and risk criteria (e.g., CVSS/CVE/CPE, exploitability)
• Experience analyzing security events and alerts from EDR, SIEM, phishing, and email security systems
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, and Python; ideally SIEM queries and Regex for detection/optimization
• Administration knowledge of network, client, and server environments (remote access, virtualization, backup/restore, patching)
• Email security knowledge including Exchange, DNS, SPF, DMARC, DKIM
