Description

You will support operational IT security by analyzing vulnerabilities from multiple sources, assessing and prioritizing them using security standards and risk criteria, and coordinating appropriate mitigation measures. You will also review and handle security alerts (e.g., phishing and endpoint protection), contribute to IT asset hardening, and investigate compromised systems to determine and evaluate restoration actions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze vulnerability reports from different sources, evaluate and track them, and derive suitable countermeasures

• Review and process security alerts (e.g., phishing and endpoint protection) and coordinate required actions

• Build and operate the vulnerability database together with manufacturers and service providers

• Contribute to the development and implementation of hardening measures for IT assets

• Analyze and remediate compromised systems and assess/define recovery and restoration measures

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as an IT specialist for application development/IT security or a degree in Computer Science with several years of professional experience

• Ability to assess vulnerabilities using established security standards and risk criteria; knowledge of CVSS, CVE, CPE, Exploitability and current cybersecurity topics

• Experience analyzing security events and alerts from EDR, SIEM, phishing, and email security systems

• Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, and Python; ideally SIEM query and Regex experience for analytics development and optimization

• Administration knowledge for network, client, and server (remote access, virtualization, backup/restore, patching) and email security (Exchange, DNS, SPF, DMARC, DKIM)
