Description

You will implement, configure, and manage Windows and Linux servers, provide 3rd-level support, and perform system monitoring and administration for database and proxy systems. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and evaluating security hardening and information security measures in line with ISO 27001 based on IT Baseline Protection. You will also support planning and implementation of firewall/cryptography approaches as well as backup and disaster recovery concepts.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and administer Windows and Linux servers; handle user-related hard- and software administration

• Provide 3rd-level support and perform system monitoring

• Administer database and proxy systems

• Conceptualize, implement, and evaluate security hardening and information security measures (ISO 27001 / IT Baseline Protection)

• Create and regularly update IT security assessments and concepts

• Contribute to the conception and implementation of backup and disaster recovery concepts, including firewall and cryptography solution approaches

Requirements

• Completed university degree (Bachelor or FH Diplom) in Informatics, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable discipline

• Work experience in server virtualization and server management for Windows and Linux servers

• Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere plus experience with antivirus solutions, Matrix42 and/or Citrix Server and SSO (LDAP, ADFS)

• Experience with automation, hardware management, and commissioning of SAN

• Ideally: knowledge of ISO 27001 based on IT Baseline Protection

• Expertise in project and quality management methods; experience in project management and partial IT project leadership

• Consulting strength and fluent German (C2)
