Description

Lead the development of a fully-managed, cloud-native graph database service (Neptune) optimized for highly connected datasets. You will manage and mentor engineers while contributing hands-on technical work, driving design tradeoffs, and prioritizing features. Work with product and senior leadership to plan resources and deliver database service capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of cloud-native database
• Design, implement, test, and deploy database services optimized for cloud environments
• Mentor engineers and managers while contributing hands-on technical work
• Drive technical decisions, design tradeoffs, and feature prioritization
• Partner with senior executives to define business targets and resource planning
• Build and scale engineering teams through recruitment and talent development
• Shape technical strategy to deliver innovative solutions for customers

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering team management experience
• 5+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams
• 3+ years of leading development of applications backed by AWS services or other cloud-based technologies
• 5+ years of designing or architecting systems with reliability and scaling
• Knowledge of engineering practices across the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle (coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and live-site operations)
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Compensation

Base salary range (USA, WA, Seattle): $184,900–$250,200 annually. Includes sign-on payments and RSUs; final compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and location.
