Description

Lead and develop New Product Development (NPD) projects in EMEA across all technical design and development aspects. You’ll ensure engineering project completion within budget and schedules, facilitate tradeoff and risk-management discussions with cross-functional teams, and drive designs that meet market, cost, timing, reliability, and manufacturing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop NPD projects in EMEA according to the development process

• Deliver assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines

• Facilitate tradeoff discussions and risk-management conversations with cross-functional teams

• Drive design execution to meet market-driven design guides and technical requirements (cost, timing, reliability, manufacturing)

• Analyze, evaluate, and select design execution alternatives; implement into mass production

• Own technical execution elements, including integration of components/assemblies, material selection, packaging, safety, and regulatory/standards compliance

• Conduct design and safety reviews for required approvals

• Schedule, develop agendas, facilitate, and document project meetings; track schedules to meet timelines

• Regularly present project status

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or further technical education, preferably Mechanical Engineering or related

• Relevant project management and product development experience

• Understanding of engineering product development and technical documentation

• Ideally experience in safety footwear industry

• Good command of English (additional European language is an advantage)

• Advanced MS Office knowledge

• Extensive CAD system knowledge

• Willingness to travel as required (~30%)
