Description

You are responsible for building, further developing, and operating central technology platforms securely and reliably. The platforms you run form the basis for data-driven applications, integrations, and AI solutions and support the S/4HANA roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and continuously improve central platforms (SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, SAP BDC, Microsoft Azure, and Data & AI platform services)

• Co-own the technical SAP platform (SAP Basis), including transport management, security, authorizations, access governance, and license management

• Develop scalable, future-ready platform services as a foundation for data, integration, and AI solutions

• Ensure stable, high-performance, and secure group-level operation of the platforms

• Establish and evolve monitoring, logging, and alerting; perform performance and capacity management; support FinOps topics

• Own incident, problem, and change management in the platform environment

• Ensure compliance and ongoing development of the Clean Core principle across the SAP landscape

• Define and enforce development guidelines and technical standards for the platforms

• Implement platform-level security requirements, e.g., for authorization and access concepts

• Coordinate and technically steer external SAP, cloud, and platform service providers

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable qualification

• 3–5 years of professional experience in building and operating cloud or platform services

• Experience operating business-critical systems regarding availability, performance, and security

• SAP Basis knowledge, especially transport management, authorization/user administration, and SAP system operations

• Knowledge of the platform systems, especially SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, SAP BDC, and Clean Core

• Industrial/manufacturing experience is desirable
