Description

You will administer, operate, debug, and continuously enhance complex network infrastructures and enterprise security solutions. The role includes configuring and managing firewalls (especially Cisco and Sophos), supporting NDR/XDR and IDS/IPS capabilities, analyzing and resolving network/security incidents at 2nd/3rd level, and implementing security concepts such as Zero Trust and network segmentation.

You will also perform updates, patches, and security audits, and document infrastructure and processes.

Requirements

• Completed IT training (e.g., Fachinformatiker Systemintegration) or equivalent qualification

• Long-term network and security experience

• Firewall experience, ideally with Cisco and Sophos (XGS), plus other enterprise vendors

• Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching (e.g., Catalyst series, VLAN, Trunking)

• Long-term VPN experience (IPsec, SSL-VPN) and automation (e.g., PowerShell)

• German at least C1 and English at least B2 (spoken and written)

• Preferred: Certifications such as Sophos Certified Engineer/Architect or Cisco CCNA/CCNP or equivalent

• Preferred: Experience with SIEM and log analysis

• Preferred: Cloud security knowledge (e.g., Azure, AWS)
