Lead Software Engineer (.NET + Azure)

Senior • On-site

Warsaw, Poland

Quick Facts

Lead Software Engineer (.NET + Azure) / Deputy Tech Lead. Drive the design and build of a greenfield enterprise integration platform on Microsoft Azure with technical ownership, hands-on delivery, and mentorship.

Description

You will lead the creation of a new Azure-based enterprise integration platform from scratch. The role blends implementation with technical leadership: you will architect contract-first integration patterns, set pipeline quality gates, mentor engineers, and support the Technical Lead across a complex multi-vendor ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Integration Architect to build core platform components: contract repositories, API/event catalogues, APIOps pipelines, Azure API Management, Event Hubs, Service Bus, and managed file exchange.
  • Build, test, and deploy integrations using C#/.NET and Infrastructure as Code (Bicep/Terraform), meeting performance, scalability, and security standards (OAuth2, HMAC, Key Vault).
  • Serve as deputy to the Technical Lead: run technical discussions, make day-to-day decisions in their absence, perform constructive code reviews, and mentor integration engineers.
  • Partner with the Data Platform team to define data contracts, operational boundaries, and zero-copy access to source data (Databricks / Microsoft Fabric / Purview).
  • Enforce contract-first standards (OpenAPI, JSON Schema, Avro) and pipeline quality gates to keep external vendor teams aligned.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on enterprise integration or backend engineering experience.
  • Production experience with Azure API Management (policies, products, deployment as code), Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs, and serverless compute (Azure Functions / Logic Apps).
  • Expertise in REST API design with OpenAPI and JSON Schema, and asynchronous messaging patterns.
  • Strong cloud security knowledge: Entra ID, Key Vault, private endpoints, OAuth2, HMAC; plus Bicep/Terraform and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in C# and .NET (or a comparable enterprise backend language).
  • B2+ written and spoken English; ability to whiteboard and clearly present technical trade-offs to client architects and senior stakeholders.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to work on bleeding-edge projects
  • Competitive salary
  • Flexible schedule
  • Benefits package: medical insurance and sports
  • Corporate social events
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Well-equipped office
