Description

You will independently evaluate new investment opportunities and associated risks for the managed funds, defend risk positions, and propose mitigation measures. The role includes monitoring investment risk limits, performing stress and liquidity tests, assessing issuer and counterparty creditworthiness, and preparing risk management reports and updates to key fund documents. You will also ensure investments comply with legal regulations and internal rules and coordinate with fund depositaries.

Responsibilities

• Independently assess new investment opportunities (transaction analysis for economic merit)

• Independently evaluate potential risks, defend risk views, and propose mitigation actions

• Test and monitor limits for risk distribution and restrictions on investment cases

• Assess creditworthiness of securities issuers and trade counterparties

• Regularly review risk profiles of the managed funds

• Conduct stress tests and perform fund liquidity testing

• Prepare risk management reports and update key fund documents

• Monitor compliance of investments with legal requirements and internal rules

• Identify and propose measures to reduce risks in managed funds

• Communicate with fund depositaries

Requirements

• University degree in finance, economics, or related field

• 2–4 years of experience in risk management, credit risk assessment, or financial analysis (ideally in an investment company, bank, depositary, or Big 4 focused on financial institutions)

• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office

• English proficiency for working with documentation and reporting

• Analytical thinking and attention to detail

• Ability to learn and work in a team

• Advantage: experience with ZISIF and knowledge of AIFMD and the regulatory environment for investment companies and funds
