Description

You will strengthen IT security and support smooth business processes by administering customer network infrastructure, including firewalls and VPN connectivity. The role covers configuring routers (preferably LANCOM), managing switches with VLAN segmentation, building and maintaining WLAN environments (preferably UniFi), monitoring with RMM (ninjaOne), and troubleshooting at 2nd/3rd level. You will also document customer networks and advise on network expansion and modernization.

Responsibilities

• Plan, configure, operate and maintain routers (preferably LANCOM)
• Configure and manage switches, including VLAN segmentation
• Administer firewalls, especially Securepoint, Sophos and Fortinet
• Build and support WLAN environments, preferably with UniFi
• Implement routing and site-to-site connectivity via VPN and keep it maintained
• Analyze and resolve incidents at 2nd and 3rd level
• Monitor the network infrastructure using RMM, in particular ninjaOne
• Document customer networks
• Consult customers on extending and modernizing their networks

Requirements

• Training as an IT specialist (system integration) or equivalent qualification
• Several years of experience in administering network infrastructure
• Solid knowledge of VLAN, routing, VPN and firewalling
• Experience with common routers and WLAN components
• Independent working style, analytical troubleshooting, and clear, customer-oriented communication
• Very good German skills
• Driver’s license class B for on-site deployments
