Description

You will develop and evolve the central build and generation environment and shape its technical architecture. You will create tools and automation to improve build, integration, and release processes, working on toolchains, cross-compilation, packaging, and reproducible builds across different hardware platforms. You will also extend Git and CI infrastructure to ensure reliable and traceable development workflows and contribute to technical concepts and reviews.

Responsibilities

• Evolve the central build and generation environment and define its technical architecture

• Develop tools and automation to improve build, integration, and release processes

• Work on toolchains, cross-compilation, packaging, and reproducible builds for multiple hardware platforms

• Improve Git and CI infrastructure for reliable, auditable development workflows

• Contribute technical concepts, reviews, and team-based solutions for complex problems

Requirements

• Multi-year experience developing or evolving complex Linux or embedded build systems

• Solid knowledge of at least one build system: Buildroot, Yocto/OpenEmbedded, or comparable

• Very good understanding of Linux, build processes, cross-compilation, and toolchains

• Experience in professional software development with strong programming and scripting skills

• Confident with Git and good understanding of CI/CD and modern development processes

• Experience with packaging, reproducible builds, or software supply-chain topics is advantageous

• German proficiency (at least C1) and good English proficiency
