Description

You will join a newly created development team and work on embedded products used in the field. Your work covers the full embedded stack—from bare-metal and RTOS to Linux—on real hardware, while converting product requirements into robust software for new products and ongoing improvements.

You will also help shape team processes and technology choices, including Linux distribution creation with Yocto and cross-platform software porting.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for bare-metal, RTOS, and Linux systems
• Collaborate with the Prague development team and colleagues in Germany
• Create and configure custom Linux distributions using Yocto
• Design software architecture and contribute to technical design with the development department
• Port software to new hardware architectures
• Estimate development effort within the team
• Write and maintain technical documentation
• Support hardware development for technical problem solving
• Support manufacturing during product commissioning
• Support the service team when troubleshooting customer systems
• Work with product management on customer documentation
• Oversee certification test activities
• Work in digital signal processing and FPGA-related development

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Communication Technologies, or comparable practical experience
• Knowledge of C++ and scripting experience
• Ability to structure and analyze problems and reduce complexity
• Abstract, modular approach to thinking
• Basic orientation in embedded toolchains
• Knowledge of network architecture and IP communication
• Good user-level IT knowledge and office tools proficiency
• Independence, resilience, and ability to remain calm when solving technical issues
• English at least B2; English is the daily working language
