Description

You will be part of a new embedded development team working on robust software for radio communication products used in critical infrastructure and other demanding environments. The role spans bare-metal, RTOS, and Linux development directly on real hardware, including porting to new hardware architectures and building Linux distributions with Yocto. You will collaborate closely with an experienced team in Germany using English for daily communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for bare-metal, RTOS, and Linux systems

• Create and configure custom Linux distributions using Yocto

• Design software architecture and support design activities with the engineering team

• Port software to new hardware architectures

• Estimate development effort within the team

• Produce technical documentation

• Support hardware development during technical issue resolution

• Support production during introduction of new products into operation

• Support the service team in troubleshooting customer systems

• Collaborate with product management on customer documentation

• Monitor and support certification tests

• Work on digital signal processing and FPGA-related development

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Communication Technologies, or comparable practical experience

• Knowledge of C++ and scripting experience

• Structured problem analysis and ability to simplify complex problems

• Abstract and modular way of thinking

• Basic orientation in embedded toolchains

• Knowledge of network architecture and IP communication

• Strong IT and office tool user skills

• Independence, resilience, and calmness during technical problem solving

• English at least B2 for daily work communication
