Description

You will design, integrate, and further develop cloud and platform solutions, align target architectures and standards for the German public administration cloud, and collaborate with national stakeholders. The role includes running proofs of concept and supporting the standardization of container and cloud operating models. You will analyze, optimize, and operate infrastructure and platform components, and ensure the quality of existing solutions and codebases.

Responsibilities

  • Align target architectures and standards within the context of the German administrative cloud and evolve them with nationwide stakeholders

  • Conceptualize, integrate, and develop cloud and platform solutions (including SDDC, DCCP, API management, and cloud management platforms)

  • Lead proofs of concept and support standardization of container and cloud operating models

  • Analyze, optimize, and operate infrastructure and platform components (e.g., Proxmox, Ceph, network and storage architectures)

  • Review, develop, and secure the quality of existing solutions and codebases

Requirements

  • Completed IT degree focused on software engineering/software architecture and/or application development, or equivalent practical knowledge and experience

  • Several years of experience in software development projects

  • Experience designing complex solution and software architectures

  • Solid knowledge of modern architecture concepts

  • Practical experience with container technologies, cloud platforms, and DevOps approaches

  • Ideally experience in the public sector

  • Experience operating and optimizing infrastructure components (virtualization, storage, networking)

  • Strong analytical skills for structured problem solving

  • Team-oriented communication skills to coordinate diverse stakeholders effectively

  • Very good German (C1) and good English
