• Role: Senior Hardware Engineer (Hardware)

Description

Design, develop, test, and deploy networking acceleration for Azure using FPGA SmartNICs. Work across the stack from hardware architecture through RTL implementation and verification, and collaborate with hardware and software teams to advance Software-Defined Networking (SDN) performance. Provide occasional production support with DevOps-style on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee analysis/evaluation of hardware architectures
• Design and code RTL modules in Verilog/SystemVerilog
• Simulate, perform hardware-based testing, debug, and verify RTL designs
• Use scripting and basic software development to support hardware design
• Apply Agile practices (code reviews, sprint planning, frequent deployment)
• Support production issues in a DevOps capacity; occasional on-call

Requirements

• Master’s degree in EE/CE/CS (or related) AND 3+ years technical engineering experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree in EE/CE/CS (or related) AND 5+ years technical engineering experience OR equivalent experience
• Ability to meet security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check at hire/transfer and every two years
