Description

Architect and validate DC-DC power delivery systems for compute, storage, and AI platforms. Lead multiphase regulator and point-of-load converter design and system integration, including power solution trade-offs and risk mitigation. Support bring-up, debug, qualification with ODMs/suppliers, and EMI, thermal, and reliability testing across deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and validate DC-DC power delivery systems for compute, storage, and AI platforms
  • Lead design and simulation of multiphase regulators, point-of-load converters, and high-power ASIC module integration
  • Develop power solution concepts, evaluating trade-offs, risks, and benefits
  • Oversee and review power development activities for requirements alignment and risk mitigation
  • Support power engineers, SI engineers, and technical leads with constraints, component selection, power tree design, test plans, and bring-up/debug
  • Engage with industry organizations and suppliers to drive leading-edge power solutions
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex power issues in production and development
  • Collaborate with ODMs and suppliers to qualify power components and systems
  • Conduct EMI, thermal, and reliability testing across global deployments
  • Influence product architecture and roadmap through DC-DC power domain expertise
  • Mentor and guide engineers and cross-functional partners

Requirements

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
  • 5+ years (MS) or 3 years (PhD) of experience in multiphase regulation, point-of-load conversion, and system-level integration
  • 5+ years (MS) or 3 years (PhD) of experience in DC-DC power system design and validation
