Description

You will design and develop maintainable, scalable, and secure applications, services, and REST APIs using C# and .NET, including cloud-native solutions with Azure Functions. The role focuses on event-driven, asynchronous systems, refactoring to improve technical quality, and implementing robust error handling, logging, monitoring, and tracing. You’ll also take part in architecture reviews and documentation and collaborate closely with Product Owners and the team.

Responsibilities

• Create technical concepts for new applications, services, and integrations

• Design maintainable, scalable, and secure software architectures

• Define architecture principles and development standards

• Conduct architecture reviews and technical alignments

• Develop applications, services, and APIs with C# and .NET

• Implement cloud-native architectures with Azure Functions

• Develop event-based and asynchronous systems

• Apply Clean Code, SOLID, testability, and maintainability practices

• Refactor existing systems to improve technical quality

• Extend solutions using the Power Platform (including PowerBI if desired)

• Integrate solutions into Microsoft 365 with Azure services and .NET backends (SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange, Graph API)

• Develop Custom Connectors

• Automate business processes

• Design and implement REST APIs

• Integrate internal and external systems

• Implement reliable error, retry, and fallback concepts

• Ensure data consistency and traceability

• Implement logging, monitoring, and tracing concepts

• Secure applications (AuthN/AuthZ, secrets, Key Vault, Managed Identities)

• Improve performance and stability

• Create and maintain automated tests (unit, integration)

• Support CI/CD and DevOps processes

• Partner with Product Owners to elaborate technical and functional requirements

• Advise business teams on technical possibilities and limitations; support test management

• Produce technical documentation, architecture descriptions, and decision templates; support knowledge transfer

Requirements

• Multi-year professional experience in professional software development with C# and .NET

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, especially Azure Functions, App Services, Azure Storage, and (preferably) Service Bus / Event Grid

• Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform

• Very strong knowledge of API design (REST), JSON, and authentication concepts

• Structured analytical working style and ability to communicate complex topics clearly

• Experience creating technical concepts and architecture documentation and comfort with agile methods (Scrum, Kanban)

• Fluent German (written and spoken)
