Description

Design, develop, and optimize SAP BW and SAP HANA solutions for manufacturing, engineering, and business domains. Create robust data models and workflows (BW and HANA native) and build ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and non-SAP sources. Enable interactive dashboards and real-time reporting while ensuring data quality and performance at scale.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize SAP BW objects: InfoObjects, DSOs, Transformations, Process Chains, and Queries
• Create SAP HANA native models: Calculation Views, CDS Views, Stored Procedures, and SQLScript
• Design scalable data architectures and workflows for analytics and operational reporting
• Develop and maintain ETL processes for SAP and non-SAP integrations
• Collaborate with frontend teams for dashboards and real-time reporting in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and tools like Spotfire
• Monitor data flows, troubleshoot discrepancies, and maintain high data quality
• Optimize performance and scalability for large datasets and complex workflows
• Gather requirements with engineers, business analysts, and solution architects; deliver tailored solutions
• Work in Agile (SAFe) with sprints, planning, and retrospectives

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on SAP BW and HANA development experience
• SAP BW development experience: InfoObjects, DataSources, DSOs, Transformations, Process Chains, Queries
• SAP HANA native modeling experience: Calculation Views, Procedures, CDS Views, SQLScript
• ETL and data pipeline design experience in SAP BW/HANA environments
• Integration experience for SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA with third-party tools
• Database optimization and performance tuning skills
• Familiarity with Web IDE for SAP HANA and SAP BW/4HANA environments
• Experience using Agile collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Solid ABAP knowledge for BW activities (extractors development, code optimizations)
• Proven ability to optimize large-scale datasets and complex workflows
• Strong collaboration skills in Agile environments
• Manufacturing/engineering domain experience is a plus
