Description

Design, develop, and optimize SAP BW and SAP HANA solutions, including robust data models, workflows, and reporting. Create HANA native models and ETL processes to integrate data from SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and non-SAP systems while ensuring high data quality and performance at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize SAP BW solutions (InfoObjects, DSOs, Transformations, Process Chains, Queries)

• Build SAP HANA native models (Calculation Views, CDS Views, Stored Procedures, SQLScript)

• Develop scalable data architectures and workflows for analytics and operational reporting

• Implement ETL processes for extraction, transformation, and loading from SAP and non-SAP sources

• Enable interactive dashboards and real-time reporting in SAP Analytics Cloud and BI tools (e.g., Spotfire)

• Monitor data flows, resolve discrepancies, and troubleshoot data quality issues

• Optimize performance and scalability for large datasets and complex workflows

• Collaborate with engineers, business analysts, and solution architects to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions

• Work in Agile (SAFe) environments, participating in sprints, planning, and retrospectives

Requirements

• 5+ years hands-on experience in SAP BW and HANA development

• Expertise in SAP BW components: InfoObjects, DataSources, DSOs, Transformations, Process Chains, Queries

• Expertise in SAP HANA native modeling: Calculation Views, Procedures, CDS Views, SQLScript

• ETL and data pipeline design experience in SAP (BW or HANA)

• Integration experience connecting SAP ECC and S/4HANA with third-party tools

• Database optimization and performance tuning skills

• Familiarity with Web IDE for SAP HANA and SAP BW/4HANA environments

• Experience collaborating in Agile using Jira, Confluence, and ADO

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• Solid backend and ETL development foundation with SAP systems

• Solid ABAP knowledge to cover BW activities (extractors development, code optimizations)

• Proven ability to optimize large-scale datasets and workflows

• Strong collaboration skills in Agile environments

• Manufacturing or engineering domain experience is a plus
